The official opening of the Riverview Operations Centre at 300 Robertson Street took place on April 29, 2017.
It serves as a central location for the Town of Riverview's engineering and public works staff and the parks and facilities division, and includes three radiating wings: administration, service bays and vehicle storage; as well as outlying facilities for salt storage, cold storage and fuel tanks.
The project was budgeted, designed and built to meet modern and sustainable building standards. Expansion potential is possible on the 15 acre site, however the building is designed to accommodate planned growth without renovation for the next 25 years.
Architectural firm exp received the ACEC-NB Pinnacle award, celebrating excellence in engineering for its work on the Riverview Operations Centre.
With final costs tallied, the project finished significantly (9.4%) below budget at $15,018,405 (saving $1.56M).
