Winter Carnival

Winter rocks! Get out in the snow, breathe the crisp cool air, and embrace all that the winter season has to offer in Riverview! Riverview Winter Carnival is a 10-day festival held every February. It’s filled with fun, affordable activities that help you and your family celebrate winter wellness in Riverview. Tingly toes are all part of the fun!

Plans are already underway to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Riverview Winter Carnival. The 2025 festival dates are January 31 - February 9.

Snowshoe artists Matt Robinson and Sheldon Benoit are on standby for the right conditions to create a new sustainable art piece on the Mill Creek Nature Park reservoir. Check back here for updates - we are aiming for the following dates: Feb. 3, 4, 10, or 11. You can see the past art pieces on our Winter Art in the Park webpage. 

Winter geocaching challenge

Our community volunteers are pleased to share a newer outdoor geocaching activity that we hope will connect you and your family to Riverview's amazing outdoor green spaces during Winter Carnival! They have created a unique “Adventure Lab” called “Riverview Outdoor Adventures" that will teach you more about the community's parks, trails and open green spaces.
