Riverview is served by the Codiac Regional detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The RCMP is the Canadian national police service, and an agency of the Ministry of Public Safety Canada. The RCMP is unique in the world since it is a national, federal, provincial and municipal policing body.
The Codiac Regional Policing Authority (CRPA) is responsible to the municipalities of Dieppe, Moncton, and Riverview for the purpose of providing regional policing services to the municipalities and to ensure adequacy of strategic planning, police coverage and fiscal management of the Regional Police Service.
